I CARE A LOT – the work in this film is acceptable. And it was a real education to discover there are fraudulent guardian companies who can swoop into our lives, insert themselves into our financial affairs, have us declared incompetent and we are helpless to prevent any of it. It’s for this very reason,Continue reading

ALLEN V. FARROW – Dull and boring. Nothing new to see here. Skip it. Peeps agree – zero toasts and definitely no boyfriends or girlfriends.
TRAVELS WITH MY FATHER – Another instance in which a show I have never heard of happens to pop up during my Netflix scroll, I decide to give it a few minutes of my time, and it ends up being a jewel! I have also never heard of Jack Whitehall or his now famous father,Continue reading
MEN IN KILTS – This romp through Scotland with Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish was disappointing. It’s based on their book, Clanlands, and I was expecting to enjoy it. I’m a big Outlander fan, and a buddy show featuring these two Outlander stars seemed like a hands-down win. Perhaps for die hard Outlander fans itContinue reading
BEHIND HER EYES – This psychological thriller with a splash of supernatural just dropped on Netflix. It kept me interested throughout, and it’s a miniseries, so it was a swift binge. The work is quite good, including the little boy who is excellent. I kept wondering what the twist would be at the end. IContinue reading
JOHN ADAMS – This is the miniseries starring Paul Giamatti in the title role which was first released in 2008. It is, in my opinion, one of the best theatrical depictions of the creation of our Democracy and the sacrifice and grit required to accomplish the lofty goal…and not just from the men! The costContinue reading
CECIL HOTEL – I reluctantly watched this miniseries under peer pressure from the peeps. I am not into this sort of show at all, but I relented to majority rule…plus it is produced by Ron Howard and Brian Glazer, whose work I respect. So I thought I might be pleasantly surprised. Not. It’s a fourContinue reading
HARRIET – I finally watched this film in honor of Black History month. I’ve wanted to see it every since it was released. The film is okay, but the woman herself, Harriet Tubman, was astounding. I was eager to learn of her contribution to the Underground Railroad. I thought her involvement was limited to providingContinue reading
KISS THE GROUND – This is an important Netflix documentary on climate change and the solution. Soil! Who knew? I certainly didn’t. Apparently scientists have been working on this for some time. Years. It’s even part of the Paris Agreement (which thankfully we have rejoined) and actually solves many of our other problems as well.Continue reading
FAKE: THE WINX SAGA – This is a fairy story. Literally. It’s a story about fairies attending a special school for, well, fairies. With a mostly British cast, it’s along the same lines as Sabrina – the Teenage Witch, the Order, and other such magical fantasy adventures. Any viewers who enjoy those shows will enjoyContinue reading
